Receives Golden Tesla's Egg Award in VIDI e-novation Contest
Xylon, a leading provider of FPGA-based embedded systems and optimized IP cores, announced that its Reconfigurable Automotive Instrument Cluster (RAIP) demonstration platform has received prestigious VIDI magazine's e-novation Golden Tesla's Egg award for Croatia's most innovative hi-tech products.
The VIDI e-novation contest, co-founded by Rudjer Boskovic Institute and the publishing company VIDI, has been established in order to recognize the most prominent and innovating hi-tech projects and ideas that represent the best that Croatia has to offer on the international market.
The RAIP platform, based on Xylon logicBRICKS
TM IP cores and Xilinx FPGA technology, represents a car subsystem that provides the driver with all the information about driving settings, engine power unit, and different luxury car systems, such as air conditioning or security systems. Moreover, it provides an interface to different Driver Assistance Systems (DAS), such as rear-view parking camera. All the information listed are shown in a graphic form on a high-resolution LCD screen. The RAIP is a unique technological solution in the world market based on the Xilinx FPGA technology.
The target market is the car industry, and graphics solutions presented by the RAIP can be used in other automotive systems, such as Central Information Displays, Navigation and Infotainment Systems, etc.
